Gift Certificates

Can I purchase a gift certificate from your site?

Yes! Gift certificates make a wonderful gift. Gift certificates may only be redeemed at SightnSoundCD.com on orders shipped in the United States. They're not refundable or transferable from the original recipient.

Also, SightnSoundCD.com isn't responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates. Gift certificates aren't redeemable for cash. If you return a product that was purchased with a gift certificate, you'll be issued a credit on your SightnSoundCD.com account.

Gift certificates can't be used to purchase other gift certificates. Any balance due on an order that exceeds the gift certificate amount must be paid by a credit card. SightnSoundCD.com has the right to revoke gift certificates if found to be fraudulent.

Do gift certificates have an expiration date?

No, there's no expiration date on SightnSoundCD.com gift certificates.

Can I redeem my gift certificate in a retail store?

No. At this time, you may only redeem your SightnSoundCD.com gift certificate online, on this website.

What happens if my purchase is less than the face value of the gift certificate?

You'll receive a credit on your SightnSoundCD.com account for future use. Balances can't be redeemed for cash.

What happens if my purchase is more than the gift certificate face value?

You may use up to two (2) forms of payment so you'd need to provide a major credit card for the remaining balance.

How many gift certificates can be redeemed at the same time for an order?

One (1) gift certificate may be redeemed for each order. If your gift certificate value is for less than the order total, you'll need to pay the difference with a major credit card.

Where can I purchase an electronic gift certificate?

Online at SightnSoundCD.com, under Gift Certificates.

Are gift certificates available internationally?

SightnSoundCD.com gift certificates can't be purchased with international credit cards.


Order Inquiries and Shipping

What if my order is cancelled?

When a customer places an order on our site, a pending authorization (or "pending hold") will be placed on your account. We don't charge our customers until their order has shipped. If your order is cancelled, the pending authorization on your account for the amount of your order will drop, releasing those funds back into your available account balance within 2-7 business days.

How much do you charge for shipping and handling?

Shipping and handling charges depend on the shipping method you select and the zip code of your shipping address. You may get your exact shipping and handling fees once all items you're purchasing are in the shopping bag and you add your zip code. You'll then be able to see all shipping method options with the fees associated with that shipping method from USPS Economical to Next-Day Air.

From time to time, we offer discounts or free shipping. We reserve the right to increase shipping and handling fees based on orders over $350. We'll contact you with the new shipping and handling fee before order ships.

What's your standard shipping method?

Standard shipping is the default shipping method. It's not available for orders that contain "special handling" items and/or orders with more than 10 pounds. "Signature required" isn't allowed on standard shipping. Standard shipping is $7.95.

Is my order insured?

The customer's signature is required by default for orders over $300 and "special handling" items, but you have the option to deselect it. In order to ensure that our valued customers receive their packages intact, we recommend keeping "signature required" selected, which includes insurance for the merchandise. If you don't think you'll be home, you may wish to deselect "signature required" so that the package delivery person will leave the package at your doorstep. However, SightnSoundCD.com isn't responsible for lost or stolen packages or missing items if "signature required" isn't checked.

All packages are automatically insured up to $100 per package through the delivery company. Some exceptions apply, but only packages with "signature required" checked will be insured for orders in excess of $100. SightnSoundCD.com isn't responsible for lost, missing, or stolen packages once the delivery person has picked up the package from our facility and is in route. SightnSoundCD.com customer service will assist you in filing a claim with the delivery company if and when necessary.

Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or military addresses (e.g., APO/FPO)?

Yes, SightnSoundCD.com ships to Alaska and Hawaii as well as to military locations. Packages being shipped to Alaska and Hawaii are shipped via USPS Parcel and packages being shipped to military (APO/FPO) locations are shipped via USPS Priority. Standard shipping and handling rates will apply. Please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery. Express shipping isn't available on USPS Parcel and USPS Priority. You may track your orders at USPS.com.

Can I save the items in my shopping cart and buy them later?

Yes, they'll be automatically saved in your shopping cart, but all items are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis, and items' availability and pricing are subject to change. This means that the items you have in your shopping cart today might not be available at a later date or time. The only way to ensure that those items will be available is to order immediately.

If you have items in your shopping cart and wish to purchase later, you'll be notified at check-out whether those items are available or not at the time of purchase.

How do I cancel my SightnSoundCD.com order?

Please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and the reason for the cancellation. Although we can't guarantee it, we'll make every effort to cancel the order before it begins processing. In the event your order has begun processing, please read our refused delivery policy here.

I just placed an order; how long before it will be shipped?

Once in the shopping cart, please enter your zip code and select your shipping method in order to obtain your estimated delivery date.


Pricing

If I find a lower price on another website, will SightnSoundCD.com match it?

Most of our products are unique and sold only on our website. If you feel that there's an item we should look at in terms of pricing, please contact us so we may assist you further.

What's your policy on price adjustments?

All sales are final in regards to pricing, except in states that have laws in conflict with this policy. SightnSoundCD.com reserves the right to limit quantity by style and/or color, and isn't responsible for typographical errors.


Privacy and Security

Why do you ask for my email address? Will I get spam emails after I give it to you?

Providing us with your email address means that we can send you two very important emails: the first is a copy of the order you place with us, and the second is a notification that your package has shipped. We may also use email if necessary to contact you regarding your order. We won't send you spam emails, and we won't give your email address to anyone else.

What's your privacy policy?

Our privacy policy covers how SightnSoundCD.com treats personal information that SightnSoundCD.com collects and receives including information related to your past use of SightnSoundCD.com. Personal information is information about you that's personally identifiable (like your name, address, email address, or phone number) and that's not otherwise publicly available.


Promotions and Discounts

How do you handle returns on orders with promotional discounts?

When a SightnSoundCD.com promotion is applied, and an item is returned, the promotional discount will be deducted from the refund amount based on the new order threshold.

I'm in checkout, and I'm asked for a promotion code, but I don't have one. What should I do?

From time to time we announce promotion codes in our newsletter. If you don't have one, leave that box blank. If you'd like to get promotion codes for future orders, please subscribe to the SightnSoundCD.com newsletter. Note: only one promotion code can be applied per order.

How can I find out about your specials, events, promotions and discounts?

We recommend that you sign up for the SightnSoundCD.com newsletter. Once you sign up, we'll email you on a regular basis with the latest SightnSoundCD.com news, specials, and promotions. Note: "limited release" items are excluded from promotions, and we reserve the right to reconcile your order when a discount is applied toward such an item. Also, certain promotions will have brand and/or category exclusions. Certain promotions are not applicable to orders shipped outside the United States.

Are there any restrictions on promotions?

Each promotion is unique and has its own set of details and exclusions. All promotions are valid on orders shipping to the U.S. only. Free shipping isn't valid on orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and military APO/FPO.< /p>


Purchasing and Ordering

Can resellers place orders on your website?

Customers come first, and we're committed to offering them a convenient shopping experience. SightnSoundCD.com reserves the right to limit and/or prohibit purchases to resellers. Such resellers may be notified at, or soon after, the time of purchase if quantity limits are applied to their order.

What's your "limited release" items purchase policy?

"Limited releases" have a one (1) unit limit per order. We reserve the right to limit quantity by style and/or color.

Do you accept checks, money orders, and/or C.O.D.?

SightnSoundCD.com is unable to accept these forms of payment.

Which debit cards can I use?

We accept the following debit cards: all Visa and Mastercard logo debit cards.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, PayPal Express, and SightnSoundCD.com gift certificates.

How do I track my order?

Returns and Refunds

How do you handle returns on orders with promotional discounts?

When a promotion is applied, and an item is returned, the promotional discount will be deducted from the refund amount based on the new order total.

What if I refuse a package because I want to return the entire order?

Orders that have been shipped but are refused by the customer and restocked for reasons not pertaining to SightnSoundCD.com are subject to a restocking fee of 15% of merchandise value. This fee as well as the shipment's handling and delivery charge will be deducted from the corresponding credit.

How do I exchange a product?

If you're unhappy with an item you've purchased from us, SightnSoundCD.com will process the exchange for you. Simply follow the instructions on our Exchanges and Returns page.

How do you process a return?

Returning your order to SightnSoundCD.com is quick and simple. Simply follow the instructions on our Exchanges and Returns page.

Note: We reserve the right to refuse return of any merchandise that doesn't qualify and/or doesn't include all return information requested in SightnSoundCD.com's return form. In that case, we'll send the product back to you stating the reason for the denied return at your shipping and handling expense.

Are any items nonreturnable?

Personal items including but not limited to all undergarments, underwear, swimwear, headphones, and body jewelry (watches) are nonreturnable. If an item has been used or worn, it will be sent back to you at your expense.

If I need to return an item, do I have to pay the postage?

Yes, you're responsible for postage back to our facility.

If I buy an item from your website, can I return it in person somewhere?

No, if you place your order on our website, your merchandise must be mailed back to us for return processing.


Sales Tax

Will there be sales tax added to my order?

Orders being shipped to AR, CA, CT, GA, IL, NC, ND, NY, PA, RI will be charged a tax rate based on the shipping zip code. If your order is being shipped to any other U.S. state, to a U.S. territory, or to an APO/FPO address, no sales tax will be added.

What footwear size am I in a different country?

There might be slight differences in the way that manufacturers measure their footwear. Please find your U.S. shoe size and order accordingly. SightnSoundCD.com holds no responsibility for incorrect sizing suggestions.

Can I search for items that are a certain color, brand, or size?

Yes, the search function on SightnSoundCD.com allows you to search in several ways: by size, brand name, color, price low to high or high to low, new items, sales items, category, department, or any combination of these.

I'm looking for an item that's not on your website. Can I special order it through you?

No, we can't special-order items at this time.

Do you have more sizes available than what's on your website?

When possible, we'll try to purchase smaller and larger sizes than what the store carries for a particular style.

Are more sizes available than what's shown on the website?

No, all the sizes we currently carry are on SightnSoundCD.com, but feel free to contact us with your requests or suggestions.

Can I trust SightnSoundCD.com with my information?

YES! Our customers rely on us for honesty, quality, and excellent customer service. Transactions on SightnSoundCD.com are protected with secure encryption.

How do you handle credit card fraud?

If a customer makes a charge and then refuses or enacts a charge-back, we'll pursue them. We reserve the right to cancel orders which can't be verified. We regret that, in some cases, these measures may result in inconvenience to legitimate customers.

In the rare event that a fraudulent order passes our screening process, we'll report the fraud to the appropriate legal authorities and provide those authorities with the necessary information to complete an arrest and effective prosecution. We'll report the fraud to the Internet service provider (ISP) for action under their "acceptable use policies." We may also initiate civil action against them.

Conviction on credit card fraud carries penalties of 10 years' imprisonment and/or a $10,000 fine. U.S.C. Title 18, Section 3056, Subsection (b), specifically authorizes the United States Secret Service to detect and arrest any person who violates federal criminal laws relating to credit card fraud and related activity in connection with computers and/or access devices.

We're committed to the prevention and prosecution of online credit card fraud. Our prevention measures include:

  • Reporting all fraudulent and charge-back purchases to the Secret Service
  • Contacting law enforcement officials in your city/state
  • Issuing summons through our attorney to fraudster's ISP
  • Verifying cardholder address and telephone numbers
  • Tracking and verifying IP numbers
  • Initiating telephone contact with cardholders
  • Verifying valid, commercial e-mail addresses
  • Requiring signed authorizations
  • Examining all orders for fraud indicators
  • Other actions, as necessary
